Welcome to my first English learning post! I’m learning as I go—and teaching what I learn. Let’s make it fun and simple. Today, we’re learning about three important parts of speech:

👉 Nouns
👉 Pronouns
👉 Verbs

🟡 What Are Parts of Speech?

Parts of speech are the basic pieces that make up every sentence in English. Think of them like the ingredients in your favorite meal—you need the right ones to make it tasty!

🟨 1. Noun — A Name

noun is the name of a person, place, thing, or idea.

🧠 If you can name it, touch it, feel it, or think it—it’s probably a noun!

✨ Examples:

  • Dog
  • Sadness
  • Madrasa (school)
  • My name is Noon.
  • I have a cat.
  • I’m very happy.

📝 Try it!

  • What’s your definition of a noun?
  • Write 3 more nouns.
  • Now write a mini story (about 4–5 sentences) using those nouns!

🟩 2. Pronoun — A Word That Replaces a Name

pronoun takes the place of a noun so we don’t have to repeat names all the time.

✨ Examples:

  • He, she, it, they, I, we
  • She is a queen.
  • I have a name.
  • They are not business owners.

📝 Try it!

  • What’s your definition of a pronoun?
  • Give 3 more examples.
  • Write a short story using pronouns instead of repeating names.

🟦 3. Verb — Shows Action or State

verb tells us what someone does or feels. It shows action or being.

✨ Examples:

  • Run, is, jump, think
  • He jumped the rope.
  • I walk every day.

📝 Try it!

  • How would you explain a verb?
  • Write 3 more verbs.
  • Create a short story using those action words!

📖 Let’s Put It All Together!

Story of Naynun 🌳

Under a shady tree sat a king named NaynunHe had many friends, including a big doga tiny cat, and a friendly rat. His animals were always excited. His human friends were called Alya and AnyaThey were mostly happy but sometimes sad.

The tree gave a lot of shade. The dog danced, the rat climbed the tree, and the cat chased the rat. But the cat also thought about how to be a good friend.

The best part? During meal time, everyone sat under the tree and ate a healthy, yummy meal together.

🔁 Quick Recap

  • Nouns = Names (person, place, thing, idea)
  • Pronouns = Replace nouns (he, she, I, they)
  • Verbs = Action or feeling words (run, jump, is, think)
